Our Process
Our Process
We have a healthy obsession with quality, exemplified by the GID Process.
Receiving
Upon arrival, all boards are visually inspected by our technicians and checked for any cosmetic damage.
At this time each board is also photographed to document its original condition.
Refurbishment
Complete refurbishment could be the right choice in order to avoid an expensive product redesign or a lengthy development and testing process. During this process, any component with a low MTBF number is replaced, cosmetic issues are fixed, and all boards are washed using PCB cleaner.
Occasionally, a specific board may also not be able to be thoroughly tested using available software. Our process in these cases is as follows: 1) We identify and replace all active board components; 2) The board is sent to the customer for testing in its intended application; and 3) Once proven successful, the refurbishment process is repeated for the rest of the boards in the repair batch.
When your mission is too critical to fail, a complete refurbishment done via our careful, methodical approach may be the ideal solution for you.
Final Testing
Each board needs to do more than just turn on and boot up. Our technicians test every board connection one last time to make sure everything works as it should.
All standard hardware is given a final test run, and once it passes with flying colours, the board is certified to be in excellent working condition.
